Gypsum Rock

The accumulation of the large beds of sedimentary gypsum which are formed as a result of evaporation of ocean waters which are high in calcium and sulfate content, are known as gypsum rock. As it is deposited in mentioned environment, it is common for gypsum to be associated with rock salt and sulfur deposits.
